UI STUDENTS UNION DENIES ORGANISING IVORY AWARDS

The Students’ Union Executive Council through the Union’s Public Relations Officer, Mr. Taiye Adegoke denied being the organisers or partners of the widely criticised Ivory Awards event.

 

The Union, in a special release sent by the P.R.O also advised the organisers to desist from tagging the award ‘Official UI Award’ or ‘Ivory Award’

The union has also, called on the organisers of the events to meet officially with the Union for proper negotiations. The event has received many negative criticism but little or no positive criticism from Uites.

 

TEAM K.CENT BACKS OUT OF DEBATE IT CALLED FOR AFTER 8 HOURS

Team K.Cent, through Temmy Gista on Saturday called off an online debate the team called for on the Official SU Page. Temmy Gista gave Team AH Speaker an ultimatum of 48 hours to decide whether it would accept or decline.

Some supporters of the opposition camp however, asked for a physical debate which will take place at Mellamby SCR instead.

Team K.Cent later called off the debate after 8 hours of calling for it.
