The University of Ibadan Students’ Representative Council (SRC) has announced a new Congress, scheduled to hold on Saturday,20 September, 2025.
This decision was made by the 12th Assembly of the UISU SRC during its third ordinary sitting held on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at the SRC Chamber, Kunle Adepeju Building.
The Congress is expected to address the state of the union,it’s plans and other related issues concerning the union
The Assembly during it’s sitting charged the students union president, Covenant Odedele to modify the content of the proposal that was issued for the call of a Congress as it was considered not properly written
Honourable Felicia, Deputy Speaker of the Students’ Representative Council, explained that the last Congress failed to hold due to low student turnout. She therefore emphasized the need for adequate mobilization ahead of the forthcoming Congress to ensure a successful one.
