As at 6:30pm Wednesday, 12th of February 2025, at the University College Hospital Ibadan, power has been restored after a 100days+ blackout, UCJUI can confirm.
Reports reaching UCJ confirms that power has been restored to the main Hospital complex and the School of Nursing Hostel with the College of Medicine and the Students hostels still in darkness.
This comes on the backdrop of a meeting on Monday between the Management of UCH and IBEDC which had the Minister of Power in attendance.
Earlier rumours of a ploy to leave Students hostels disconnect when the light is restored, despite several protests action and promises, who noted by the UI’SU president who condemned it strongly and warned that such a move would be resisted.
