The University of Ibadan will on Wednesday, February 13, 2025, host its 576th inaugural lecture at the university’s prestigious Trenchard Hall.
According to a statement from the institution, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kayode Adebowale, FAS, MNI, extended an invitation to members of the academic community and the public to attend the event.
The lecture, themed “Nothing for Us, Without Us,” will be delivered by Prof. Isaac Adekeye Abiona, a scholar from the Department of Adult Education and the university’s Dean of Student Affairs.
A veteran academic and expert in adult education, Prof. Abiona is celebrated for his extensive contributions to scholarship and his dedication to community development.
The inaugural lecture series is one of the university’s traditions, providing a platform for distinguished academics to share their research and scholarly achievements.
