NEWS: UI Students Get Exclusive Opportunity for Fully Funded Research Program at Stanford

Stanford University is now accepting applications for the Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) 2025, a fully funded opportunity for undergraduate students to engage in cutting-edge scientific research in the fields of biochemistry, microbiology, immunology, biomedical engineering, and related disciplines.

The program, hosted in the United States, is open to Nigerian students currently enrolled at the University of Ibadan. To qualify, applicants must be in their third year of study (set to complete their third year before September 2025), possess a First Class Honours with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 70/100, and demonstrate a strong interest in research within the specified fields.

The SURF program offers numerous benefits, including full sponsorship that covers housing, a meal plan, and a travel stipend. Participants will also receive a $5,500 stipend upon completion of the program, enhanced research skills, and improved prospects for pursuing graduate studies in science and engineering.

The fellowship spans 8 to 10 weeks during the summer of 2025, with the application deadline set for January 10, 2025.
