Super Bowl, an oratory competition involving undergraduates speakers from various tertiary institutions is set to hold Friday, 20th December, 2024 at the Alumni Centre, University of Ibadan.
This oratory competition is organized by
Dr. ‘Bisi Olawuyi, a lecturer and the current Head of Department, Communications and Language Arts, University of Ibadan.
The competition debut in 2007. According to a publication by The Nation after the seventh edition that held in 2019, Dr. Olawuyi noted that he started the competition to provide a platform for students to interact within the university community with a view to presenting strong leadership models for the youths.
This 8th Edition of the oratory contest is organized in conjunction with the Student Affairs of Oyo State and themed “This is Nigeria”. The competition will be hosting 14 tertiary institutions to combat with wits and words. There would be a first round to select the final contestants that would be proceeding to the grand finale.
