The Lere Odusote Inter-Faculty Basketball Competition, slated for Friday, December 6, 2024, and Saturday, December 7, 2024, has reached its final stage after knockout, quarter-finals, and semi-final games which were played on the first day of the competition.
The Faculty of Art progressed to the male category finals, set for Saturday, December 7, 2024, after defeating the Faculty of Law 10-0; Social Science 16-6; and Technology 11-9. Similarly, the Faculty of Education advanced to the final stage of the competition, having beaten Public Health 21-6; Renewable Natural Resources (RNR) 18-7; and Science 9-8.
In the female category, the Faculty of Clinical Sciences reached the final by defeating Education 3-1 and Art 4-3. The combined team of the Faculty of Public Health, Social Science, Veterinary Medicine, and Technology (PSVT) secured a spot in the final with comfortable wins over the Faculty of Science 5-0 and Law 6-0.
The Faculty of Art male basketball team will challenge the Faculty of Education boys in the final, while the Faculty of Science hopes to outsmart the Faculty of Technology in the Third Place Finals.
In the female category, PSVT will compete against Clinical Sciences for the title, while the Faculty of Law will face off with the Faculty of Art in the Third Place match.
