JUST IN: UI Insists on Friday Deadline for Payment of School Fees

The Management of the University of Ibadan has maintained that there will be no re-opening of the portal for fee payment or course registration after September 20.

This was contained in an internal memorandum made available to the public and signed by the Registrar of the institution, G.O. Saliu.

While the management expects that students resume on campus by Friday, September 20, they have also maintained that for those residing in halls of residence, evidence of registration is required to be admitted.

”The 2023/2024 first semester examinations will start on Monday, 23 September, 2024; Students who do not register appropriately will not be allowed to write examinations,“ the memo read in parts.

Recall that the Management on Saturday, August 31, announced a three-week break, following the protest that started on Thursday, 29th of August due to the new regime of fees. However, as the break gradually comes to an end, students resort to the public to seek donations to meet Friday’s deadline whilst the management has also insisted that there won’t be further extension and exam starts on Monday, 23 September.
