Okoro Hauwa, a Queenite from the Department of Agronomy, and Adebamowo Timilehin from Science & Technology Education have been crowned Mr & Miss Fresher respectively for the 2023/2024 academic session on Saturday, July 13.
They both emerged at the Variety Night which marked the end of the UI’SU Freshers Week Orientation Programme.
The competition was held at the NFLT venue, and it showcased a spirited contest among contestants from various halls of residence.
In the male category, the contestant from the Great Independence Hall, Erinola Daranijo finished as the first runner-up while the contestant from the Queen Idia Hall, Miriam Okoh also finished as first runner-up in the female category.
The event also featured stage performances from upcoming artists; the fresher’s help desk committee was awarded, with brands like Aimtoget, and Infinix present to market their products.
