
Dr. Tolulope Osayomi, a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Geography, University of Ibadan has become the first Africa Oxford (AfOx) Initiative visiting fellow to be affiliated with New College, one of Oxford’s oldest colleges.
Osayomi had joined the College as an academic visitor and completed critical research into deconstructing the African COVID-19 paradox, bringing invaluable insights to the forefront, the announcement post on Monday read.
“I return to Nigeria with plenty of food for thought and lots to reflect on. As I prepare to resume duty at the University of Ibadan, I hope to continue my research on the African COVID-19 Paradox.
“I have lots of wonderful tales to share about New College when I get home. I certainly promise to sustain the great friendships and partnerships formed here at New College and Oxford University,” he said in an interview.
The Africa Oxford Initiative (AfOx) is a cross-university platform for academic and research collaborations between the University of Oxford and African researchers and institutions.
