The University of Ibadan Students’ Union, in partnership with The Literary and Debating Society (TLDS), has announced an oratory competition for newly admitted students of the institution.
The competition is set to take place on July 9, 2024, in the New Faculty Lecture Theatre (NFLT), as part of the week-long events to welcome these new students on campus.
In a press release sent to senators, TLDS encouraged all constituencies (Halls of Residence) to invest in putting forth a groomed speaker for the competition.
“This competition will give freshers a feel of the public speaking atmosphere at the University,” said the Society.
