This, according to him, is hinged on the basis that the University of Ibadan made him what he is today, having obtained a Master’s degree in Political Science and an LLB from the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria.

Chief Akintola expressed that the institution, University of Ibadan has outgrown the city of Ibadan and even Nigeria, and has become a global brand that deserves to be celebrated.

In response to the requests of the University, Chief Akintola said he empathises with indigent students because he was an indigent student himself.

He disclosed that he had over the years extended assistance to indigent students and was willing to extend it to more students.
