The students-populated Agbowo community opposite the University of Ibadan is set to have a security post which would have personnel of Amotekun, Police and DSS.
This was disclosed to UCJ UI by the Students Union President, Adeyinka Adewole (MASCOT).
He said the security post will be commissioned by the Oyo state government later this week.
Recall that the Agbowo community in some months back witnessed a spate of armed robbery in which some students of UI were victims.
Mascot stated that the Security post was achieved as a result of the union’s agitation for improved security in Agbowo and other communities where students reside.
He expressed optimism that insecurity should not return to Agbowo again.
