UI ASUU declares tomorrow lecture-free

The Academic Staff Union, University of Ibadan has declared tomorrow, February 9 lecture-free over mistreatment of lecturers by the federal government.

The Chairman of ASUU UI Professor Ayo Akinwole briefed UCJ UI after the chapter’s congress today.

Prof. Akinwole, while addressing Pressmen after the congress, said the University of Ibadan chapter of ASUU was in support of the decision of the leadership of the Union to fight for her members whose welfare has been neglected for over 13 years.

UCJ UI learnt that ASUU is having its National Executive Council meeting at the University of Lagos on February 12, where it would decide the possibility of an indefinite strike.
