The Dean of Students of the University of Ibadan, Prof Adekeye Abiona, has stressed in a special release that only COVID-19 vaccinated students will be accommodated in the Halls of Residence (HoR) for the 2021/22 session.
He also stated in the release addressed to undergraduates that while fresh students are expected to secure accommodation slots by paying the accommodation fee on or before 28 January, the time frame of payment for other eligible and final year students is 31 January to 3 February, 2022.
He however noted that the payment portal would be opened from 24 January, 2022 and the Halls of Residence would be opened on 30 January for the 2021/2022 session.
Prof. Abiona emphasised further the need for each student to abide by the COVID-19 guidelines and to maintain personal hygiene at all times.
He also made it known that till the end of the first semester, only hall residents will be allowed into the Halls of Residence and third-time infractions of the COVID-19 preventive requirements by any student will attract ejection.
