In bid to curtail the spread of Covid-19 within the university, the management of the University of Ibadan, through the Chief Security Officer (CSO), Mr. Victor, Fadeyibi in a release announces the closure of Poly gate and Ajibode gate “beginning from Monday, March 30, 2020”. It was gathered that “the essence is to reduce\minimize the number of people trooping into the campus without having business here especially at this ctitical period” .
It should be recalled that UI has been shut down following the orders of the federal government on measures to curtail the pandemic. However, the main gate and the second gate remain open to gain access into the university.
