I was preparing for class last week when someone asked for the name of powder I use. I told her I use ‘Enchanter’ powder and she flared up when she heard. She insulted me and said I use inferior things and she said that the right powder to use is ‘ponds’ coupled with sophisticated make-up. She claimed that there is no definition of beauty without make-up. I was mesmerized when she said this because she equated application of sophisticated make-up to beauty. This occurrence made me think of what it really means for something to be beautiful.
The name ‘beautiful’ has caused a lot of controversy in this present world of ours. Despite the fact that we are all determinants of beauty, there is a very interesting part of beauty that should be found in everyone. Physical looks should not be the foundation of what beauty is. Although physical looks may serve as one of the ways we determine beauty but the main object of beauty ‘lies within us’.
‘Your beauty lies in you and not in your looks’ your inner beauty has a major role to play on your personality. Even if you are the most beautiful person on earth and you do not have a beautiful personality it cannot be said that you are beautiful.
A beautiful heart with or without beautiful physical looks is the best anyone can have. If you do not have a fine face don’t feel bad about it and if you have a nice look don’t be too excited because without inner beauty its nothing. We should long to have that universal thing, ‘A BEAUTIFUL HEART’ which everyone craves for.
