The UCJ UI can confirm multiple incidents of vote soliciting, voters intimidation, and campaigning ongoing at different Halls of Residence both on main campus and the UCH Campus.
Via responses from residents as well as observations made by the over twenty-person Election Watchroom team on ground, there have been; confirmed cases of vote soliciting at Indy, Zik, Idia, Queens, ABH, Bello, Talents, Mellanby, and Tedder; voters intimidation at Idia and Zik, and campaigning in every single Hall of Residence including ABH and Falase.
Aspirants have also been observed moving about different Halls, with supporters taking to branded messages asking others if they have voted. In some extreme cases, like with Zik, supposed supporters of the opposition Presidential candidate have been kicked out, while on other Hall groups, residents are being enjoined to vote along Hall lines and for endorsed candidates.
