UI VC, PROF. OLAYINKA FELICITATES WITH MUSLIMS

The Vice-Chancellor, University of Ibadan, Professor Abel Idowu Olayinka, has felicitated with Nigerian Muslims especially the University of Ibadan Muslim community, on the successful completion of the 30-day of prayer, self-denial and charity-giving.

Prof. Olayinka in a statement by the University’s Director of Public Communications, Mr. Olatunji Oladejo urged them not to lose sight of the lessons of Ramadan fast which was in fulfillment of Allah’s injunction.

The Vice-chancellor enjoined Muslims to use the Ramadan to promote harmony, peace and love across religions, tribes and nations. Prof. Olayinka applauded Muslims in the university community for their contributions to the sustainable development of the premier institution.

The 12th Vice Chancellor of the premier university also commended them for maintaining peace and sustaining peaceful co-existence with their neighbours as well as people of other religious persuasions.

Olayinka stressed “Nigeria has a lot to offer the world with its enormous human and material resources if we decide to relate with one another with compassion, selflessness and sincerity to harness our full potential.
