The University of Ibadan has held its matriculation ceremony on Wednesday, the 11th of March, 2026 at the International Conference Centre (ICC), University of Ibadan, for the 2025/2026academic session.
Following the orientation programme held on Monday, 9th March, 2026, the matriculation ceremony is part of the activities scheduled to formally welcome the new students into the university.
For this 2025/2026 academic session matriculation, the University of Ibadan admitted 4,430 fresh students out of 13,618 students who sat for the university post-UTME exam, according to the University of Ibadan Vice Chancellor’s address during the matriculation ceremony.
According to him, 4,171 students were admitted through the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) O’Level admission process and 259 were admitted through the Direct Entry admission process.
