A theft attempt was foiled at the department of zoology in the early hours of Friday morning.
Angry students had gathered to manhandle the theif but members of the campus security had stopped them from inflicting such pain.
While speaking to one of the witnesses at the event, it was disclosed that the thief had made initial attempt to steal a bag while examination was ongoing. His plan was foiled at the second attempt.
They also claimed that the culprit was not a student of the university as he was unable to answer questions relating to the department or the university campus. Others claimed that he had perpetrated such act at CBN some time ago.
As at the time of this report, the culprit had been carted away by the campus security personnel.
