The April Fabrics is set to hold its fifth edition of Ibadan Ankara Fiesta tagged MADE IN IBADAN on Sunday, April 30, 2023 at the Daylan Event Centre, Sango-Eleyele Road, Ibadan.
The forthcoming event which is being organized by Aderinsola Itunuoluwa Ogunleye, the Chief Executive Officer of April Fabrics with the intention to bring together Africnas/Nigerians Ankara fabric lovers and celebrate Africa unique cultural heritage.
In the statement sent to the UCJUI, Aderinsola Itunuoluwa stated that “the event is mainly to celebrate the beauty of ankara and to appreciate our heritage as a proud African/Nigerian using ankara for that show of love for our heritage.”
Explaining further about activities that will be featured in the Fiesta, Miss Aderinsola noted that this year’s event will involve fashion show, red carpet, music, comedy, giveaways, meeting of celebrities and for every ticket people get, individuals will get a particular amount of shopping voucher which can be use to buy anything from the stalls available at the event.
“Fashion designers competition will also take place on that day whereby different fashion designers can showcase their works for free and prices are given to the best three designs on that day.”
The statement also reads that the event will also feature the live performance of reputable persons in the entertainment industry which includes; Woli Agba, Nepa Boys, Dr Smile, Cymbals, DJ Sexy, MC lagbaja, among others.
