African Liberty Inducts UCJUI Reporter As Writing Fellow

Olajide Oladokun, a second-year law student at the University of Ibadan and a correspondent at the Union of Campus Journalists UI, has been inducted as a writing fellow at African Liberty Writing Fellowship.

The African Liberty Fellowship is a year-long program designed to train young Africans interested in academia, media, public policy, or any other critical-and-analytical-writing-related career in opinion article writing.

For the 2023/2024 Cohorts, 2114 applications were received across the 54 African Countries, 55 candidates were trained, and only 34 were admitted as fellows.

Reacting to his induction, Olajide sees it as a privilege to be selected from the numerous applications.

‘I look forward to harnessing the numerous opportunities that come with this program while lending my voice to social change and development,’ he said.
