Miss Okunsanmi Aderoju popularly called Aderoju Smallz, the sole aspirant for the position of the University of Ibadan Students’ Union Vice President had assured campus journalists that she would get sponsors to aid the implementation of her plans, if elected.
She repeated this during the Press Night organized by the Union of Campus Journalists in conjunction with the Students’ Union Electoral Commission on Thursday 14th April 2016.
Deroju who made statement during the Presidential debate repeated it while addressing pressmen on campus as she said “we would get sponsors”.
While asked by Pressmen to give names of sponsors, she responded that “I don’t want to mention names because it ties you down.”
Further answering questions from Pressmen on the courses for which scholarships will be given to outstanding students, Deroju said she was yet to choose the courses but she added that it will be chosen across faculties.
“We have not selected the courses yet but it would cut across faculties” she said.
She added that as part of her plan is to establish a car wash system where the union can generate funds and to renovate the Students’ Union event centre.
