ARTS HOLDS VALEDICTORY SERVICE FOR GRADUATING STUDENTS

The premier faculty in the University of Ibadan held a valedictory sevice for her graduating students on Wednesday, 22nd April 2015 at the Trenchard hall.
The programme which started at about 4pm with the DVC academics, professor Gbemisola Oke delivering her opening speech on behalf of the university management. This was followed by the valedictory speech from the best graduating student in the faculty, miss Toyin, department of English. Also, she advised the stale and fresh students present to be resilient in achieving success in all ramifications.
The faculty produced fourteen first class graduates and also a number of second class upper graduates. A plaque was given to all first class students present in recognition of their academic excellence and taking the faculty to a greater height. The second class upper graduates were also appreciated with a present. Also, all graduands were given a certificate of excellence.
The valedictory service was graced by the presence of the dean of the faculty of Law, the Dean of the Faculty of Public Health, the Dean of Arts and some Heads of Department in the faculty.
The event came to an end with a raffle draw in which a student of Communication and Language Arts, Adeoye Adejare, casting away most of the gifts and a graduate taking away a refrigerator which is the grand prize.
