Are they still leaders?
Or they are rulers and pencils?
Is this a service call?
Or a selfish call
Our voices no longer
Determine the decision made by our politicos
Oh! Democracy, of the politicos
We accommodated a man without shoes
Only for him to steal our legs
And stroll on the street with neighbour’s lives
For being a scathe
Oh! Democracy by the politicos
Our youth no longer value themselves
They’ve forgotten they are intellectuals
They destroy years to come just to satisfy their belly’s worm
Oh! Democracy for the politicos
They claim to have us at mind
Destroying the incumbency with bad critique
Making us believe they are better
The mouth is a good chef
Amending the flaws becomes a problem
Rather, a new white elephant project will be launched
Dwindling economy is looming us
Insecurity is battling us
Education- future of the nation
No longer taken serious
Is this the world of democracy, our fore-fathers aimed for?
But unfortunately, this is our democracy world.
