The prestigious Sigma Club, University of Ibadan, has admitted 20 students into its revered Sigma Roll of Honour following a rigorous screening and interview exercise held on May 16, 2026.
The exercise, which took place at the Kuti Hall Guest House, brought together over 30 male applicants from different departments and faculties across the University. Although the interview was scheduled to commence at 7:00 a.m., proceedings began much later in the day.
The screening process featured a short aptitude test covering Mathematics, English Language, and General Knowledge. Candidates were thereafter subjected to an intensive individual question-and-answer session before a panel comprising Old Sigmites, members of the executive council, loyal Sigmites, and the Sigma Chief.
Following the extensive selection process, 20 successful applicants earned admission into the club’s Roll of Honour.
The admitted students are:

- Amuda Emmanuel — Petroleum Engineering (200 Level)
- Owolabi Freeman — Environmental Design and Management (200 Level)
- Falana Ezekiel — Geology (200 Level)
- Ogu David — Environmental Health Science (200 Level)
- Awesu Joseph — Banking and Finance (200 Level)
- Omowaye Benedict — Religious Studies (100 Level)
- Oniye Nifemi — Communication and Language Arts (200 Level)
- Adegoke Segun Yomade — Environmental Design and Management (200 Level)
- Alausa Barnabas — Classics (200 Level)
- Yarhere Trust — Computer Science (200 Level)
- Nnamani Kenneth — Medicine and Surgery (200 Level)
- Akintola Kehinde — English Language and Literary Studies (200 Level)
- Oludare Paul — Medicine and Surgery (100 Level)
- Alalade Joseph — Pharmacy (200 Level)
- Agboola Mustapha — Veterinary Medicine (100 Level)

Founded in 1950, the Sigma Club remains one of the most prominent socio-intellectual organisations within the University of Ibadan community, known for its commitment to leadership, intellectual engagement, and service.
The admission document was signed by Sigma Chief, Adesokan Emmanuel and Sigma Chief Scribe, Loyalist Adeyeye A. Anthony.
