Marvin sealed his place after a dominant performance against Igoche Thoodores of the Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Warri, winning in straight sets: 4-2 and 4-0.
With this victory, Marvin keeps UI’s medal hopes alive in Tennis as the quest for a podium finish intensifies.
Also, it could be two slots in the quarterfinal for the UI Tennis team when Abimbola Solagbade plays in the second round later today.
