The Patriot Institute Of Journalism & Arts Foundation (PIJAF), organised a training for members of the Union of Campus Journalists, University of Ibadan on Friday, 13th of June 2025 at the SRC Chamber.
The workshop which was themed Accountability and Community Investigation Workshop was held to empower campus journalists.woth knowledge and tools required in holding political leaders accountable.
It also highlighted the roles investigative journalism plays in the aspects of budgeting and ultimately, community development.
Enoch Oyedibu, the founder of PIJAlance magazine anchored the event, delivering a session on the roles journalists play in community development and the reasons why these roles are important.
Laying emphasis on his point, he cited common misdeeds committed by political office holders as opposed to various strategies that his foundation has employed over the years and how they’ve brought about positive changes to those affected.
