The University of Ibadan management has invited three students of the institution: Aduwo Ayodele, Olamide Gbadegesin, and Nice Linus, for questioning over the fee hike protest that was staged during the inauguration of the Students Union Executives in May.
Recall that UCJUI had previously reported that two of the three students invited received query letters, following the protest and risk suspension from the school.
On Tuesday, the invitation sent to these students as a text message, seen by UCJUI, asked them to appear before a committee at the school’s Students Affairs Conference on July 2.
The invitation was signed by one Halimah O. Adeoye and it read in parts: “You are invited to appear before the committee on jointly committed offenses on the allegation earlier leveled against you bothering on misconduct.
“Be formally dressed and punctual. Kindly acknowledge the receipt of this message.”
Aduwo Ayodele is a 300 level student of the Department of History; Olamide Gbadegesin is a 700 level student in the Department of Institute of African Studies; Nice Linus is a 300 level student of the Faculty of Law.
