Three students of the University of Ibadan shined at the InvestBeta Campus Play hosted by Stanbic IBTC Asset Management on Thursday, June 20th, 2024.
This event which was held at the Dame Edith Okowa Auditorium in the Alumni Center of the institution saw various students compete in a financial quiz contest with substantial cash prizes awarded to top performers.
Kolawole Shammah emerged as the overall winner carting away N100,000 cash prize; Urhobomudia Marcus and Shoile Isreal finished as the first and second runner-ups and got N50,000 and N20,000 respectively — These cash prizes are intended to help kickstart their student’s investment journey.
Dr. Comfort O. Aiki-Raji, Deputy Dean of Student Affairs, expressed hope for continued engagement between Stanbic IBTC and the students of the University. “We’re looking forward to more engagement between Stanbic IBTC and the students, especially in terms of mentoring and scholarship,” she stated.
The purpose of the summit was to educate students about investment opportunities and financial management through various activities including games and a talent hunt.
