Busoye Opegbemi, a representative of Nnamdi Azikiwe hall, University of Ibadan has been elected the new speaker of the Students Representatives Council of the University of Ibadan Students Union.
Opegbemi, a 500-level student of Electrical and Electronics Engineering pulled 89 votes in a distance win to defeat his two opponents, Babalola Kikiola and Afolabi Saheed who had 20 and 15 votes respectively.
This election of the new leadership of the house was conducted in a hybrid inaugural meeting of the 11th assembly.
