Freshers resuming to the University of Ibadan this month for the new academic year will pay as high as N412,000 per session, UCJUI has gathered.
Fresh students who have been able to access their portals shared the new figures with UCJ UI ranging from N203,000 to N412,000.
UCJUI gathered that the new fees displayed on the portal of freshers vary across different faculties within the institution.
Some freshers have to pay a bundle fee of N372,000 with a technology levy and utility levy of N20,000 respectively accumulating to N412,000.
However, in some faculties, the total amount they have to pay ranges from N278,000 and N203,000.
UCJ UI reached out to the Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. ‘Keye Abiona on Thursday morning to confirm the increment.
While he is unable to verify the approved figures, he confirmed the management’s decision to increase school fees for freshers.
“I don’t have the figures yet, but there’ll be an increment for freshers,” he said.
