The UCJ UI pioneer President, Dr. Adebayo Ajala, has been inducted as a War Marshall of the Man O’ War unit, Agodi GRA Command at Ikolaba Grammar School on Saturday, August 15th.
In his speech, Dr. Adebayo Ajala spoke on his admiration for the Man O’ War since his university days.
“I’ve been a friend of Man O’ War since my university days …one thing I appreciate about Man O’ War is the discipline; very early in the morning, they will go out to exercise before preparing for classes, and they will never go late. And weekends, when we are still lying on our beds and rolling, they are already out there to come back around 11:00 am or 12:00 noon. And most of them are big men, now,” he said.
He also urged the young Man O’ War officials present at the occasion to take their academics seriously and acquire skills.
He further admonished them to be good people and follow the discipline Man O’ War instills in them, promising to reward all the Man O’ War students in the Command that makes the first three in their respective classes every term.
Dr. Bayo Ajala also appreciated the Command for giving him such responsibility and his friends who graced the occasion.
Present at the ceremony were officials of the Man O’ War including the Oyo State Commander, Commander Abidemi Akingbade; Deputy Commander and Chief Coordinator of the Man O’ War, Agodi GRA Command, Com Okadonor Austen, Assistant Commander Agodi GRA Command, Adewale Salako, and the State Director of Training and Assistant Commander, GRA command, Kolade Olawale.
