We swore to burn down hell
with fire words,
And sulphuric statements.
For we are only babies being fed iron,
being led like sheep.
We bawled to kill
with heavy rolling congresses,
with unionism spears.
For we were only preys
fed up, about
being fed on.
Yesterday, our echoes were stripped of their
reverberations;
our tides and waves hooked
along the shores.
Today, we’re voiceless
as our tongues no longer quibble, but rather
chirps lullabies to our ears.
Relying on pen, mightier than sword
to fight the lords.
