The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ibadan, Prof. Kayode Adebowale on Friday commissioned a new laundromat at the pavilion of Obafemi Awolowo Hall.
The Laundromat, built last year by an organisation named ASPIRA, is designed to make washing easier for Awoites.
Speaking at the event, the VC appreciated the organization for investing in the hall. He also highlighted the importance of proper maintenance, noting that it’s the only way to ensure the facility’s longevity.
To celebrate the commissioning of the Laundromat, students were allowed to wash clothes free of charge for the day.
Other notable guests at event include: Obafemi Awolowo Hall Warden, Dr Adewumi, Assistant Hall Warden, Mr. Kazeem, representatives of Aspira and members of the students’ union executive council.
