Wale Rapper: I am Akinsunmade Akinwale oluwatosin a.k.a wale rapper from Ondo town, Ondo state Nigeria. I am a300 level student in the faculty of Social sciences, department of Geography.
UCJ UI: HOW HAS UNIVERSITY OF IBADAN BEEN?
Wale Rapper: UI has been stressful, great and awesome. UI has taught me to how to multi task.Having to combine my social life with academics and ensuring that none is conflicting with the other.
UCJ UI: Outside Academics activities, what are the things you involved in?
Wale Rapper: I sing and rap and I am also a performing artist.
UCJ UI: WHEN DID YOU START SINGING?
WaleRapper: I started singing at the age of 6. Though, those songs were not my creation but they developed my interest in being a singer and have helped my a lot. But I started recording songs in year 2015 and I have released 7 tracks so far (Testimony, Aye, Accolades, Blessings, Jaye baby, Malobesiwa and Nympho) and should release some songs soonest and I will be featuring Jolla Bello in one of them. One of the songs is to be released next month.
UCJ UI: Who are your Celebrity role models?
Wale Rapper: My Celebrity role mmodels are Wizkid, Migus, Olamide and Drake. I admire these guys because how dedicated they have been to their musical and for not giving chance to their background to interfere with their visions. They didn’t give up in their dreams despite all odds.
UCJ UI: Happiest moments in Life
Wale Rapper: My happiest moment in life was the day I got admitted into University of Ibadan: gaining admission into the first and best university in Nigeria in something l always desire because it will offer me ample opportunities to enlarge beyond my limit and it makes me mingle with people diverse places and benefit from them.
UCJ UI: WHICH UI ARTIST DO YOU ADMIRE?
Wale Rapper: I admire all University of Ibadan artists because despite intensity of our academics, they all create time for their songs. However, I admire Sultan, Biggie whom have graduated and Lynxx, Jolla Bello
