The University of Ibadan Students’ Representative Council has called for an emergency sitting to be held on Friday, May 16.
The announcement was made via a memo dated May 16, in which it was also stated that the sitting would commence at 8:00pm.
The sitting, according to the memo, is for the “Deliberation on the integrity and relevance of the approved congress,” amongst other things.
Recall that the Student Union Executives had earlier on Friday released a memo suspending the Congress following and assault on officials of the Union.This will mark the third emergency sitting of the 12th Assembly of the SRC.
