UI VC WELCOMES STUDENTS, COMMENDS THEM FOR THEIR SENSE OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • SAYS STUDENTS PASS 1ST SEMESTER DESPITE ODDS

The Vice Chancellor of the University of Ibadan, Prof. Abel Idowu Olayinka has welcome the students of the University back to the campus after what he called “brief break”.

Prof. Olayinka stated this in a broadcast titled WELCOME NOTE TO ALL STUDENTS ON RESUMPTION FOR THE SECOND SEMESTER, 2015/SESSION, a copy of which he sent to UCJUI on Sunday, 14th August, 2016.

The Vice Chancellor admonished students to keep on “maintai ning peace on campus at all costs because of its implications on the safety of students and because it ensures that the institution’s calendar run without interruption”.

The professor of Geology commended “the high sense of responsibility and seriousness with which you comported yourself” and the also hinted that students perform brilliantly against many odds.

He said: “provisional reports confirm that there are excellent results in spite of the initial challenges at the beginning of the session”.

The UI VC concluded by wishing everyone a successful semester as he said “I welcome you to the new semester which promises to be even more rewarding”.
