The management of the University of Ibadan has given an update on the efforts being made to address the delay and difficulty associated with obtaining transcripts by graduates of the university.

In a special release signed by the Directorate of Public Communication and dated 31 December 2021, it was stated that on December 14, 2021, the Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Kayode Adebowale, inaugurated the “Task Force on Students’ Transcripts” with the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Prof. Aderonke Mojisola Baiyeroju, as the Chairman.

It was also stated that the Task Force has commenced work and will ensure that students’ transcripts are deployed online so that requests, payments, and delivery of transcripts are fully automated.

“Applicants for transcripts will be able to track the progress of their requests, print student copies online, and select the courier company that would handle their transcripts’ delivery,” the special release read.

The management also added that graduates from the last two sessions (2018/2019, 2020/2021) now have their transcripts available online and will be able to access them once the portal is deployed very soon.

Graduates were then assured that the management is fully committed to protecting their interest and progress and a lasting solution concerning the requests and delivery of transcripts would soon become operational.
