The newly elected executives and members of the Students Representative Council of the University of Ibadan Students’ Union have been inaugurated by the university management.
These two arms of the Students’ Union were sworn in at the inauguration ceremony which was held on Monday, May 13, 2024.
The new executive council would be led by Aweda Bolaji Damola (Oloye), as the president of the union.
Other members of the executive council include: Aboderin Boluwatife Nafisat as the Vice-President; Ogundijo Dolapo Japeth as the General Secretary; Christopher Onuh as the Assistant General Secretary; Onyishi Christain as the Treasurer; Elemide Daniel as the House Secretary; Omotayo Olumide Sunday as the Public Relations Officer; and Adesina Daniel as the Sports Secretary.
Speaking at the event, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kayode Adebowale, appreciated the outgone administration and also admonished the new leadership to be good ambassadors of the institution.
Also present at the events were the Registrar, represented by the Deputy Registrar (Student Affairs), Tijani Musa; Dean of Students, Professor Adekeye Abiona; Deputy Dean of Students, Dr. Aaiku Raji; and Victor Oloyede, the Special Adviser to Oyo State Governor on students affairs.
