UI Gets N532 million For Library Extension

The University of Ibadan will get a sum of N532 million for the extension of its library from the Federal Government, a report from NEWSDIRECT has said.

This development was made public by the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, on Wednesday, April 14th during the virtual Federal Executive Meeting (FEC) presided over by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.

“The Minister of Education also presented a memo for the award of contract for the construction and furnishing of the extension of the University of Ibadan library,” Lai Mohammed said.

“The memo, which was approved, is at the cost of N532 million with a completion period of 48 weeks.”

The Information Minister added that the memo was acted upon due to the need to extend the library in the University.

Mohammed said the contract was awarded to UYK Nigeria Limited and it will be completed in 48 weeks.
