The Council of Defence Ministers, the Campus Defenders, University of Ibadan, in a circular dated 27th May, assured UI student committee of their commitment to Campus security.
The circular welcomed all students and went further to express their commitment to the security wellbeing of the University of Ibadan.
Furthermore, they pledged to work in collaboration with existing security units “to promote and maintain a secure, conducive, and harmonious environment where every UIte can grow without apprehension.”
It went further to reveal that the council is fully equipped to tackle “a wide spectrum of issues, including but not limited to, any form of criminal cases that may arise within the student area.”
The memo concluded with an assurance of the availability of the council at all times.
It admonished students to reach out for help if they ever found themselves in situations requiring their intervention.
