Oluwatobi Odeyinka, a campus journalist at the University of Ibadan, has been shortlisted for the ICIR Investigative Journalism award for his two-part investigation exposing how Nigeria’s tertiary institutions flout the Covid-19 Protocols.
Joining him on the shortlist are other campus journalists across the nation’s tertiary institutions including Abiodun Jamiu, Abdulwaheed Sofiullahi, Abdulrasheed Hammad, and Muhammad Auwal Ibrahim
The winners will be announced at the UCJ UI Dinner/Awards/Handover ceremony on the 23rd of October, 2021 at Abdulsalam Abubakar Hall, University of Ibadan.
The first prize winner will take home a grand prize of N120,000 with other benefits, while the first runner-up and the second runner-up will receive a sum of N80, 00 and N50, 000 with other benefits respectively as well.
