UCJUI Elects New Executive Council

Elizabeth Tosanwunmi Tarre, a 300-level student of the department of Library and Archival Information Studies (LARIS) has emerged President-elect of the Union of Campus Journalists, University of Ibadan.

Tosan emerged at the Union’s election held on Friday, April 29, 2024.

Over 109 voters from all registered press organizations within the institution participated in the election to determine the next members of the union’s executive council.

Tosanwunmi, who is the current online editor of Nuesa Press Organization and a member of Larissa Press, is the 4th Female President of UCJUI and the first from the Faculty of Education. 

Going unopposed, she pulled a total of 89 votes with 20 void votes. Tijani Abdulkabeer emerged as the Vice-president (Editorial) and Oyekola Abdulmuhizz as the Vice-president (Administration). The following is the full list of the elected 36TH Administration Executives.
