They spurn tales of a better tomorrow,
They tell stories of good times of the past.
But, what about today,
What about us?
We might not be sure of tomorrow,
We definitely can’t change yesterday;
Or even go back to the good times.
But we do have today; indeed, today is all we have
To be Queens and Kings,
To be what we want to be
But they just wont let us,
They refuse to give us a chance,
They refuse to leave the scene,
And they keep saying;
Wait for tomorrow, wait for the future.
Our patience is growing thin,
Hopes have become dim.
Yet the ugly ones refuse to die!
And then we realized;
They don’t really care about us!
