There is no point beating about the bush. Let’s call a spade a spade. From the beginning of time, journalists have always had enemies, and till the end of time, journalists will have enemies. Why? You may ask. Well, its simple, pressmen are bearers of truth and not everyone love the truth because the truth is bitter and difficult to swallow; particularly when that “Truth” concerns you. These set of truth haters are the enemies of the press. But the truth cannot be suppressed!
As journalists, we have sworn to uphold the truth and the truth alone, regardless of the consequences. Therefore under no circumstance shall we withhold information from the public. It is saddening that people do not appreciate the press, who work night and day to bring information to their doorstep, but then, that is the nature of man.
To those who have resorted to threats; please know that threatening a pressman is almost the equivalent of threatening God, to all our readers, we say thank you. Thank you for the criticisms, the praise, the snubs, accusations and even threats; it gives us great joy to know that you actually find time out of your busy schedule to read our board….
