Mr. Ore Kelvin, an aspirant for the position of University of Ibadan Students’ Union treasurer had said the present and past executives of the union have not been transparent.
He made this known during the Press Night held for the aspirants as he said he stands to correct this anomaly.
According to him, “The office of the Students’ Union treasurer is very crucial. The current and past executives have not been transparent to Uites who elected them. Every Uite pay a due of 200 naira but they do not know how the money is being spent and they keep paying every session.”
Ore Kelvin added that if elected as the treasurer of the union, his administration will ensure the good working condition of the Automated Teller Machines in the University as he would write to banks to bring their machines on campus.
“Ore Kelvin is assuring Uites that the ATM machines will be working efficiently and effectively. Go to Ibadan polytechnic, they have 5 ATM machines working effectively, but come to UI, just one is working”, He said.
