This perhaps might be the last episode in the series of who is better for now. Last week, we compared two great rappers Dremo and Ycee. They are two great artistes but you must have definitely chosen who is better. On today’s episode, we will be comparing these two female artistes Teni and Simisola. These two women are blessed with wonderful voices and have released so many hit songs. They have made their fans and non-fans to tune to their rhythm. I will begin by analysing the career of these two wonderful artistes starting with Simi.
Simi
Simisola Ogunleye aka Simi is a singer that specialises in love songs. She delivers love songs with her sweet and gentle Yoruba voice. In most of her songs, as you might have noticed, she uses her Yoruba accent very well and rhythmically in her songs. Everything perfectly combined produced a very sweet and melodious song. She was originally into gospel songs but she later moved into the secular songs. She gained relevance in the Nigerian Music industry with the release of her hit song Tiff. It was a massive success. Simi introduced herself to Nigeria, Africa and the world through that song. Shortly after the release of Tiff, she released E no go funny which also was a success. She has many hit songs to her name i.e. Jamb question. Joromi, Love don’t care, O wan be, Aimasiko to mention a few. She has three albums to her name. Simi has been nominated for notable awards (16 and counting). She has also won various notable awards (11 and counting)
Teni
Teniola Apata aka Teni is a vibe. Teni is a maestro. Teni is a spectacular kind of musician. Teni started to gain prominence when she released her first single Fargin. The song though crude warmed his way into many Nigerians hearts. The manner and way she expressed herself in the song was one of a kind. She later gained more relevance and prominence in the music industry after the release of her spectacular hit song Askamaya. She followed it up with the release of Case and Uyo meyo which was a huge success. Apart from this songs, Teni has released many other beautiful songs. Teni has also been nominated for various awards and won most of the wards she was nominated for. Teni has achieved and is still achieving so much in her career.
These artistes as you know are very talented and spectacular. It is very hard to pick between these two artistes. Many people are fans of both these fantastic singers while many too are fans are fans of either one of them. Like I always end with, it is up to you to decide who the better artiste is.
