The third leg of Jaw War’21 which held among the halls of residence in the University of Ibadan ended with Lord Tedder, Nnamdi Azikiwe, Obafemi Awolowo, Queen Elizabeth, and Alexander Brown halls emerging as the winners.
The third leg of the competition which held on Saturday, October 2, at the New Faculty Lecture Theatre (NFLT), was among the halls that debated against each in the first leg and they are Tedder versus Mellanby, Zik versus Bello who pulled out after the first leg, Awo versus Kuti, Queens versus Idia, and Indy versus ABH.
The final scores were arrived at after the aggregates had been calculated as thus:
Mellanby: 68.75% vs Tedder: 69.71% (winner), Zik: 74.25(winner)% vs Bello: 37.5%, Awo: 76.85(winner)% vs Kuti: 73.70%, Queen Elizabeth:70.22(winner)% vs Idia: 70.17%, Indy: 67.71% vs ABH: 74.46(winner)%.
Chiziterem Ogbonna, the first speaker of Zik Hall was also recognised as the best speaker while Kuti hall was recognised as the best loser.
